Nationwide Ban On Puppy Mills

Puppy mills have become a nationwide problem and they must be banned before it gets out of control. This issue had become very serious puppy mills contribute to pet overpopulation and can cause countless dogs a lifetime of suffering in squalid wire cages. There are about 10,000 puppy mills nation wide with about 1,022,740 puppies that will be brought into the world each year. These poor dogs will not only suffer while they are at the puppy mills, but they also go to their new home with multiple illnesses and diseases. Most of the dogs that are used for breeding purposes at the mills will never get to see the light of day or ever get a place to call their own home; they stay there for their entire life locked up in unsanitary conditions. On average about 3 million dogs are euthanized by shelters every year in the U.S because many of the animal owners wanted these cute little puppies for their children but ended up having to dump them at the shelter for various reasons.
We need to make puppy mills illegal all across the board, there is no need for the mistreatment of these animals. I would like all of you to sign my petition so that we can stop all this animal abuse and really make a change in these animals’ lives and their futures as well. These people will stop at nothing to make a quick buck in any way that they can. Our humane societies are filled with animals who are already here and desperately need a loving home so why are we creating more animals when we can’t even control the ones we have here already? This petition will help stop the abuse and overcrowding of these poor dogs, hopefully, opening up many people’s eyes that something really needs to be done to help save these animals. We need to make a change and shut down these puppy mills for good by having them declared illegal nationwide.
