NASA funding

NASA BUDGET is being cut and it leads to many problems.

a) The delay of missions
i) The Europa mission is set to launch in 2022, but the suite that will be used to explore Europa cost about USD 110 millions, and there many other things that have not been involved yet (.
ii) Another one of the largest missions is the Mars 2018 rover, which cost approximately
USD700 million , but in 2013, Obama requested to reduce 38 percent
from the project of Mars .
iii) The James Webb Space Telescope, which set to launch by 2018, has to delay due to
the lack of financial support .
b) The delay of new inventions and technology.
i) Continuum robots, which are very flexible likes octopus arms, have been originally
applied to the medical and defense field. NASA plans to use the robot in exploring the
outer space because of it flexibility that is proper for inspecting in difficulty space.
ii) NASA plan to use The Advanced Stirling Radioisotope Generator (ASRG), the
technology that is lighter and more efficient than others, to explore the hydrocarbon
seas of Saturn’s moon
iii) Space based solar power: the production of electricity from solar energy by utilizing
satellites and transferring the power to our planet. If the project succeeds, the system
could provide the unlimited power that can access constantly
