Maria Cantwell, Endorse Bernie Sanders!

Senator Maria Cantwell has recently endorsed Hillary Clinton as a candidate for President. We want Senator Cantwell to change her endorsement and endorse Senator Bernie Sanders. Bernie Sanders is a life long progressive, with a proven record of supporting the people against special interests!

Hello Senator Cantwell,


Thank you for taking the time to read this!  I am a young voter in your state, and I'm writing to you today on behalf of the signers of my petition asking you to consider a Bernie Sanders endorsement in 2016.  Overwhelmingly the signatures on this petition come from residents of Washington who were spurred to take a more active part in the political process by following Senator Sanders' vibrant campaign.


Just one signature reads as follows, and I think sets an example for the kind of heartfelt support Senator Sanders recieves in our state:


     "As a service member and an Afghanistan war veteran I need Bernie Sanders to stand up for me the way we haven't been stood up for in quite some time."


This moved me to deliver the current signatures to you with this letter, so that you can see the progress on the petition after only a few days and read some of the comments left by WA residents.  I will write again when I reach my signature goal. 


Thank you for all the work you do for our state, and for standing strong on the issue of campaign finance.

About to reach our short-term goal of 400, share this again on your FB and twitter and let's get to 1,000! Maria Cantwell has endorsed Hillary Clinton, but like Nina Turner she may still change her mind. If not, at least your voice was heard. Don't forget to register to vote and attend the precinct caucus, more info on the caucus process for WA residents below.

Thank you everyone for your support so far! Today I sent your signatures to Maria Cantwell for the first time. I informed her of our efforts and hopes of an endorsement, and told her that I would print and mail the signatures to her office when I reached or exceeded my goal.

Next step, 1,000 signatures! Please help me meet the goal so that I can show her how far we've come. Share with your friends and family and in your local groups.

Thanks for helping me reach over 100 signers so far! I can't wait to see how many of you pledge your support to the goals of this petition, and I can't wait to tell Maria Cantwell's office about it too.

Additionally thank you to Tanner Brown for your signature and your service, your response moved me to send an e-mail to Senator Cantwell and inform her of this petition. I will continue to contact her as the list of signatures grows.
