To urge all Breeders to cut one litter a year.
This petition is to ask your help in getting homes for cats and dogs and other small animals in shelters all over the world. Give your breeding animals a rest for just one breeding cycle in a year and tell your customers this and encourage them to go to shelters to look for a pet. Your prospective customers will realize you care for all animals and not just money, and will come back for that purebred later, when they discover how great having a pet or even two can be.
The animals in shelters are just as worthy of homes with loving families as pure-bred animals are, even more since some have never had a home or even regular meals. Breeders have the power to help shelter animals perhaps more than anyone else. Do this just for the animals and you will be rewarded in many ways.
For all animal lovers, copy this and take or send to your local breeders, and get the word out, saving just one animal would be worth it, but if we all pass it around, imagine how many worthy animals could feel the joy of a loving home!
