Little Critters Mobile Petying Zoo is in need of community support. Altough we are mobile for event we also offer events on our farm to the community. We do birthday party's, fundraiser for this in need in the community etc. We could loose our business and the animals could suffer loosing the forever homes as many came her to be rehabilitated as rescues. We are in danger of being landlocked by a neighbor who acquired property adjacent to the road that has been used as a public road since 1984 and is well established since then. They have already placed a fence down the middle preventing our horse trailers to leave with animals for events or for hay to be delivered on trailers as the roads as been narrowed to prevent this. The neighbor is threatening to place up a gate that will prevent us from getting down the only road that gives us access to our property at all.
We have gone before the county commissioners and started the process to see if Don Beard believe this road qualifies for a public road. Again this road has been used as a public road and stablished since 1984 until recently when the neighbor decided to impede it and not allowing law enforcement, fire dept, utilities etc to access it or our residence in an emergency. Don Beard says it will take a minimum of 90 days or even more for him to get the time to address this issue. In the meantime we are blocked from pursuing our business , it impedes getting hay on trailers to the many rescue animals here. The events we are paid to provide from our business allows us to pay for needed vet care, brand inspections, feed etc. without this income we are a one income family who won't be able to afford to support all of them. I have stopped my chemo treatments for now in order to try and help the existing animals here.
So I ask for your support by signing the petition asking the Laramie county Public Works director Don Beard to please expedite and find in favor of a public road so that access is not impeaded and that the animals do not suffer while we wait for a decision.
