Implementation of Music and Arts within Calgary’s Elementary Schools

As an up and coming elementary school teacher; throughout my practicums it has become apparent that the arts have been taken out of most curriculums and are not deemed important. Science has shown that arts and music are very impactful for humans especially revolving around mental health issues.
I believe that we need to make art (theatre, music, etc) classes an important part of schooling.
