Legalize Medicinal Marijuana in Indian Country Now.

In December 2014, the federal government and the Department of Justice, announced it would not intervene against Native American Tribes that allow for regulated cultivation, manufacturing, and distribution of cannabis on tribal lands. Since that time the issue of medicinal marijuana in indian country has come to the forefront of tribal issues. This petition seeks to establish which bands of Ojibwe/Chippewa tribes wish to proceed forward with the discussion by calling for a vote of tribal councils and forming an alliance to petition the state to allow tribes governed under PL280 to move forward with medicinal marijuana and industrial hemp production. Together we are strong.
