Pelican Crossing for Wallace Park and Magheralave Road

A pelican crossing across Magheralave Road to Wallace Park will help prevent serious accidents, involving park users. The crossing will help mothers with young children, and schoolchildren attending Friends School. The crossing would also provide a safe crossing for local residents.

Do not wait for a fatal accident to happen before we decide to take action. Sign this petition to create a pelican crossing!

Thank you to everyone who has signed this petition, it really makes a difference. Each one of you has added a little more weight to our petition, strengthening our arguments for change, more pressure on decision makers to spend a little money on a lick of black and white paint which could save lives. It is not much to ask. Pass on the word and support others who are trying to make our roads safer for pedestrians, cyclists and car drivers. We are all just trying to get from A to B. Tom

Thank you to everyone so far who have signed. Please encourage people you know who are affected to give their support or by getting in touch with local councillors and MP's. The more people that express a concern the more chance we have of getting local government and the Roads Service to listen. Thank you for making comments, these add value and gives an indication of how you feel about this issue.
Best wishes

Interest is growing. SERC (South Eastern Regional College) along with Friends School Lisburn will shortly send messages to staff, students and parents to encourage them to sign up. I will be distributing a flyer to residents next week. Watch this space next week.
