Plead the Canadian Government to enact a country-wide ban on cat and dog sales in pet stores.

Please help me in my efforts to call upon the Stephen Harper Canadian Government to implement an country-wide ban on the sale of cats and dogs in pet stores.

These animals are from corporate mills whose sole interest is making money. They do not care for or love the animals they are breeding and selling.  Thus, the poor cats and dogs that are a result of these corporate mills are suffering greatly and need our help.

When they are placed in pet stores waiting to be sold, they are often kept in small confined cages; sometimes even placed with two animals per cage. They hardly even have enough room to turn around, yet they are expected to eat, sleep, and deficate all in the same area. These are highly unsanitary places for live animals to be.

Please stand up for what is right. This type of unsanitary, cold, caged, and lonely life is not the type of treatment we should be allowing EVER, let alone in pet stores.

Stehpen Harper, I urge you to implement legislation that will prohibit the sales of cats and dogs in pet stores. The corporate mills these poor animals come from is not something that should be supported by Canada. These animals are neglected and only seen as dollar signs for the companies involved. Stephen Harper, you have the power to make a difference, so please help your Canadian citizens speak up for what they think is right. Don't ignore the thousands of voices asking for a change in the laws to help end the exploitation of innocent animals.
