HORROR BEHIND THE CURTAIN

Every year, hundreds of dolphins are killed in brutal hunts in Taiji, Japan. Those not killed are sold for large sums of money and flown to marine parks around the world. This money funds the slaughter so that the hunts can continue. The hunters want to keep their shameful actions secret. They pull a curtain across the cove and, after ramming a metal rod into the dolphin’s head, they plug the wound with a piece of wood to stop the blood flowing out into the water and under the curtain. This practice does not meet even the lowest standards of welfare applied to slaughterhouses in the developed world – yet they are getting away with it. Hundreds of dolphins are dying a slow, agonising death from trauma and blood loss. Others watch their families die before they are sold for large sums of money and flown to a life of confinement in a tank, performing tricks for human ‘entertainment’. Tell Japan Airlines and Air China to stop transporting dolphins. HELP US STOP THE SLAUGHTER. HELP US STOP AIRLINES TRANSPORTING DOLPHINS NOW
