4 PM: Ruin Creek Animal Protection Society of Henderson, NC From the vet: Tumor is necrotic and infected, now abscessed and draining purulent exudent (pus draining)
X-rays are complete: Chest/Abdomen; Rad Dx - no Metastasis (Tumor) seen in the chest/abdomen area.

6 PM: Ruin Creek Animal Protection Society of Henderson, NC Spooky has been sedated, abscessed has been drained and biopsy is being send off. We are PRAYING a rescue will step up to help him. We have send medical records to several vets. PLEASE continue to donate.
Poor SPOOKY (5-6yrs. old, Dachshund/Lab mix) came into the shelter with a very large tumor. The vet came to the shelter & looked at Spooky. He stated that surgery to remove it would be around $2000. He also stated that due to the placement of the tumor the surgery could prove to be very difficult and there may be many bleeders.The tumor seems to be leaking a little & we are very worried that it could rupture at any time. Spooky is in need of donations for the surgery to be performed & a rescue to take Spooky. Please share Spooky with as many rescues as you can. He is a very sweet dog and does not seem to be in pain at this time.
