We are asking the Hawaii P.U.C. to Preserve the Basic Rights of Net Energy Metering in Hawaii

We are asking the Hawaii P.U.C. to Preserve the basic rights of Net Energy Metering for consumers on the HEI (HECO, MECO & HELCO) Grid.

WE THE UNDERSIGNED ASK THE FOLLOWING FROM THE HAWAII STATE PUC:

1) As consumers of electricity in the state of Hawaii and future purchasers of renewable energy and photovoltaic systems, we ask the Hawaii PUC to allow us to continue to receive FAIR COMPENSATION for our exported energy and to enjoy the benefits of net energy metering.

2) We want our utility grid to be improved and are willing to pay our fair share of the costs of doing this.

3) We want our utility to allow us to continue to export our net energy metered power to other utility customers through the grid.

4) We want our utility to allow us to receive credit, on our utility bills, for the true value of the excess clean power that we deliver to the grid and to be able to reconcile our exported power yearly allowing for payments or credits for annual net excess generation.

5) We want to help the state of Hawaii transition to 100% renewable energy

6) We want to be able to purchase solar photovoltaic systems and interconnect them with the grid, without unfair cost or extended
delay.

7) We support a system that provides improved access to clean and just renewable energy to residents of all backgrounds.
