Does this picture upset you? It sure upset me. I've tried to report images such as these on public hunting pages under "Graphic Violent Images", but Facebook says they're just fine.
Many are as graphic and as upsetting. Yet Facebook allows these photos to be viewed on public pages. This is beyond grotesque to many people, and we need to tell Facebook to ban these graphic images, or confine them to private pages.
If you're an animal lover you likely don't enjoy being shown pictures of people standing with a rifle next to a dead animal. But Facebook allows this even though a large majority find it not only offensive, but deeply disturbing. In fact it could easily trigger anxiety attacks or strong emotional responses. It also has the power to desensitize children to animal cruelty.
There are pictures of dead and bloodied animals of almost every species. From deer to black bear, from wolf to elephant. This should not be allowed. Most of these are public pages which means that if you're looking around for a nature page with your favorite animals, you are likely to run into pictures of people posing with that animal dead.
Pages like:
Redneck Wolf Hunters, Inc. , Wolves Are Profane Vermin Not Sacred Animals, The Only Good Wolf Is A Dead Wolf, Big Game Logic, Big Game Hunting New Zealand, Big Game Hunting In Idaho, Shark Hunting, ILIC's Shark Hunting, Elephant Hunting, A Bullet For Every Coyote
are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to this. At the very least, these photographs should be confined to private pages where the rest of us don't have to see these horrific images.
Tell Facebook to stand up for our right to enjoy their site without being upset by graphic images. If this doesn't count towards "Graphic Violent Images" I don't know what does.

Dear Facebook,
We are asking that you either ban images of dead animals from your site, or at the very least make it a rule that they be confined to private pages. By allowing pictures of dead animals with the people who killed them, often bloody pictures, you are taking the stance that glorified killing is fine and that you won't stand up for thousands of users who find these images disturbing. Some of these pages even show animals that are on the endangered list hunted and killed. Please allow every user to enjoy your site without being subjected to graphic images such as these.
