Tell Home Depot they did the WRONG thing in firing Kenny Grant!

This is a petition to have Kenny Grant reinstated with all benefits, etc and some extra for their grossly wrong treatment by Home Depot.

Kenny Grant was orphaned at birth and suffered severe neglect, abuse, survived leuukemia, never had any parents. Kenny was a crippled, unwanted kid never adopted and no family. Kenny has worked 38 years and was forced to support himself at 14. Only 1% of all children lived unclaimed in state child care as he did. He has moved 70+ times in his life.Kenny worked for Home Depot in Hooksett new Hampshire for 15 years and was a great performer for them. Kenny was a longtime volunteer for a number of causes, generous in donations over the years.Home Depot fired him for sexual harassment and obscene language which customers, coworkers, friends never saw and dont believe. Home Depot cut off his health care, destroyed his 401k and his reputation and put his life at risk by denying him healthcare for his long term diabetes and workplace induced injuries. The charge of obscene language was talking about the ocean (nonsexual) and talking about fitness and weightlifting with a female weightlifter who frequently brought it up.This man gave so much of himself and this what Home Depot did to him in New Hampshire! The Department of Labor in NH should also be ashamed of itself for letting big retail ruin good people. The woman who charged him with harassment was angry because she lied about her boyfriend's powerlifter skills and when Ken asked him about it after she introduced her bf as a powerlifter her bf denied it. The woman felt embarrassed that she had exaggerated and decided to get revenge by manufacturing sexual harassment.

It appears that Kenny is now getting pretense calls from investigators perhaps hired by Home Depot or their law firms. Individuals are calling to gather information about him under the pretense of representing recruiters-- yet the phone numbers cannot be confirmed and there is no job followup by the "recruiters"
To this date no evidence whatsoever has been shown to him or provided.Home Depot has refused to close out his 401k and caused him massive financial penalties. Kenny is now homeless living in his car. Recently it was found out that because Kenny and other workers had reported stealing and the managers were involved in it, they made up bogus charges to justify firing Kenny and other supervisors who they felt threatened by.The store manager was giving tens of thousands of discounts to customers who then sold them real estate up to 80% off the market value of the property and Home Depot corporate did not care when it was reported.

Home Depot espouses corporate values some of which are RESPECT for all people and Taking Care of Our People and Doing the Right Thing.  It is quite apparent that after 10+ years of service helping Home Depot prosper it throws away one of its best performers in that area out with the trash. This is totally contradictory with the public face it puts out

The National Labor Relations Board feels that they cannot represent hourly supervisors, even though Home Depot supervisors have no control over who they hire, firing, even performqnce reviews(salaried managers must review and approve of any reviews and will only approve reviews to be delivered that they salaried managers want delivered). Supervisors cannot even perform write ups on poor performing employees. In effect, supervisors are hourly puppets of salaried managers.

Update #27 years ago
The charges by Home Depot were that talking about the OCEAN in a non-sexual way was obscene language and talking about FITNESS and WEIGHTLIFTING with a female weightlifter who always brought it up was considered SEXUAL HARASSMENT. No warnings, nothing- just termination for a man with no work history of that and who has been through enough in his life.

The NH Dept of Labor refuses to get involved in wrongful terminations and appears to side with offending employers. Several attorneys have said there is a case but for unknown reasons will not take it. Home Depot has ruined thousands of lives and the government could care less.
