My nephew was gunned down in SE DC in November 2016, they had to transport him to GW hospital which took about an hour to do so. I've learned that Southeast DC doesn't have a trauma unit in that Area; Southeast is known for high crime/murder rate! Innocent children and adults are in danger all the time and they shouldn't have to go all the way to NW hospitals for doctors who specializes in gun shot wounds or any life threatening injuries. My nephew died and I believe he could have made it if there was a trauma unit in that Area. His death will not be in vein, I want this to be in his name or in memory of him because we believe in saving lives. I'm not asking for something that shouldn't be there in that kind of community. Enough is Enough! Time to make some Changes and Save some Lives!
