As you may know our petition was turned down by the guild so I want to take it to the university themselves.
Being a mature student is hard, you are suddenly thrown into the crazy world of university with little or no peer support. If you are lucky you may have one or two other mature students on your course but not everyone does. It's also extremely difficult to find other mature students who are on different courses. All the social areas are dominated by younger students. It would be nice if we could have an area exclusively for mature students to meet, socialise and relax with others who understand the difficulties of being a mature student.
There is an area in Cyprus Building that I think used to be a cafe and has not been used in over 18 months. It's full of chairs and tables and would make an ideal central location. Please sign and share to help get our voice heard.
