Demand changes to school speed zone cameras!

Nassau County has implemented a "Big Brother" type program which will issue speeding tickets at $80 a piece for driving more than 10 MPH above the posted speed limit during school days.  However, this program began in AUGUST.  At last check that is the summer and there are no school days during the summer.

The term "School Day" has no meaning anymore if tickets are being issued in August.  If that's the case, then remove the phrase from the existing signs and just have it be the standard speed limit.  Better yet, replace the existing speed limit signs with digital ones that can be programmed with the appropriate speed limit based on the time of day.

Prove that this is about child safety versus stealing money from hard working taxpayers and clarify the terms of the program.
