Demand an end to the Qatar animal souq

The animal souq in Doha, Qatar has to stop. With a 40 degree temperature and blistering heat these living conditions are not suitable for any animal. All of these animals are in critical condition and their life style is not suitable in any way. There are a range of animals all the way from dogs and reptiles to exotic birds that have been imported from all over the world. The rabbits and chicks are contiunously dyed in small buckets with large amounts of dye inside, and dogs and cats are kept in cages very closely clumped together. The water is filled with dirt and is not even close to sanitary, and the food is scarce, if there is any. The animals are very unhealthy and should not be available for sale. Especially the exotic birds and reptiles, they should not be kept in this climate and types of living conditions. The animals here are usually sold for thousands of riyals, and the cost of health care (if the owner actually cares enough about the animal to give it health care) would cost thousands more. Not to mention how the people who work there treat the animals, throwing them around and not caring about them at all, they are just another way to make money. The animal side of Souq Waqif needs to be shut down immediately, to stop this suffering of animals once and for all.
