Recognize and Demand the Reform of the Animal Welfare Act (AWA)

The animal welfare act was created in 1962, it is completely outdated for today's society of animal cruelty. Stand up for all animals. It's a shame that this act doesn't consider some animals need protected. If we would even get the minimal care standards followed our animals would not be suffering. We need justice for animals all of them need protection and the right to act in their natural behaviors. The right to not be used in medical research, the right to take care of their young and to live in social groups. Thank you for all who care about animals keep fighting for them. Without them we don't exsist.

Dear Mr. President, Congressional Leaders, and lobbyists,

We as citizens of the United States and throughout the world demand a much needed reform of the current Animal Welfare Act. (AWA). The minimum care and standards of the animals are not being met now. With violations occurring daily in universities, medical training, research labs, cosmetic testing, factory farms and slaughterhouses, import / export , fur farms,  fisheries, wildlife, cull kills, hunting and trapping, poaching, exotics, illegal ivory trade, endangered species, shelters, rescues, companion animals, labor animals, puppy mills, breeders, exhibitors, zoo, animal fighting and attendance, circuses and entertainment and amusement parks. It's time to do something about the neglect and lack of moral compassion and respect for another species other than ourselves. A Humane society would benefit from allowing intelligent animals to live humanely everyday lives, along side of ours. Please allow the USDA and APHIS and the citizens to create a board to allow the development of new animals welfare acts can be redesigned to ensure our future is created carefully, humanely, and where people who  violate will be punished.

Thank you for your time.
