Thank you all for your help in signing the petition , note it , am sorry to tell all of you ,a bad news from few minutes i get a message from care2 member which was in china , she told me the Yangtze Dolphins are officially extinct and she has the chance to see the last one which the chinese government was trying to help him and find a mate for him , but he die while they helping him , am so sorry for that , we watching the extinct of whole species because of human greed , human cruelty , really the biggest danger on earth is human , as some people become destruction machine just destroy , kill with no heart no manors , am shame to be human , forgive me for the late petition again am so sorry .
The Yangtze River, the longest river in Asia, used to be one of the only two rivers in the world that was home to two different species of dolphin—the Yangtze finless porpoise and the Baiji dolphin. However, in 2006 the Baiji dolphin was declared functionally extinct. This was the first time in history that an entire species of dolphin had been wiped off the planet because of human activity.
Yangtze Finless Porpoise has a nature smile on their face and they are one of the most intelligent creatures on earth, with a level of intelligence comparable to that of a gorilla. And they are very friendly to human beings.
Ten years ago, there were still 1200 Yangtze Finless Porpoise in Dongting Lake, in 2008, this number shrank to 200; in 2009, an investigation organized by WWF and the Institute of Hydrobiology, CAS shows only less than 150, March 2012 85, From 3rd March to 15th April, 12 died!! What’s the next step?
It's not about signing it , It about make people know that now there are species could be extinct and almost we know nothing about it , and maybe next generation just read or hear about it from history books if we did nothing to help them , i hope we could help stop this awful greed and the unresponsibility which we show against other species and how they are important to the eco system and for us , if the balance of the earth miss one element that will lead to catastrophic result over all of other living creatures including us
