Since the beginning of time, women have been selling their bodies to get a little bit of extra cash or some food for their families. However, while this was not looked upon as a good profession, at least it was the women's choice and they were still in control of their own bodies. With human trafficking especially in young children, the children are being forced into giving up their bodies to disgusting men and women who just want some pleasure for a night. The children are forced into having sex, while their pimps just stand by and collect the money, which they keep for themselves. The children are tricked into thinking that they owe their pimp a debt and they have to keep having sex until they have paid it off. The pimps will continue to use the children until people decide they are not attractive enough, not good enough at giving people pleasure, or if they get an STD. Instead of being able to go home to their families, the pimps force them out into the streets where they become starved and often times die.
The government has never really done much about this issue so by signing our petition you are letting people know that there is an actual issue at hand and that something needs to be done. We can no longer just turn a blind eye towards the issues going on right in front of us. You may be thinking that this is just going on in the Middle East and places like that but that is a lie. This goes on everywhere. Even in your neighborhood. So before you just look away think if it were your daughter, you'd son, your friend, your neighbor, would you fight. Because these innocent people need help too. It's not their fault and they need your support and assistance if they ever want to beat the trafficking system.
