We made this petition as a part of our project that we launchrd on the 8th of April, 2008 entitled The Longest Environmetal Letter in the world. The aim of the program is to enlighten people about the dangers that our environment is facing and to help preserve the earth. The project will continue till we collect the biggest number of petitioners (online and on paper) to come out with the longest letter in the world.

I am a vegetarian and animals and environmental activist--not enough is being done to educate the public in schools and at home that eating meat is unnecessary and unhealthy as well as cruel and exploitive of the animal and the environment--People need to be enlightened to create a consciousness shift that will change our culture to a more humane and civilized place to live!!
