Convince St. Louis City Council to adopt Sanctuary Laws

Sanctuary Laws are simply local laws that protect undocumented immigrants from being reported to immigration officials for having any kind of contact with the police.
This can range from cooperating with police or for minor offenses like traffic tickets.
More than 50 cities and states across the country have adopted policies that prevent police agencies from asking community residents who have not been arrested for serious crimes to prove their legal immigration status.
Creating a safe haven for immigrants to work where they please and not have to worry about being deported for a minor offense positively affects the community.
It’s a morally sound and practical solution that is both economically beneficial and improves community safety as well.

They give good people the freedom to live their lives without the fear of being deported.
