Ask the FCC to Create a 'Do Not Text' Registry

Don't you just hate spam text messages? There is currently no way to ask your phone provider to block spam text messages based on the origin phone number or the content of the text. Phone companies say they either have to shut off all text messages to your phone or allow all messages. This all-or-nothing approach to text message delivery just doesn't cut it.

Due to problems with unsolicited phone calls, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) created the 'Do Not Call' registry. By adding your phone number to the registry, you can avoid unsolicited phone calls. Now, lets urge the FCC to expand that registry to include text messages.

Urge the FCC to create a 'Do Not Text' registry.

Dear FCC,

As a Care2 member and someone who cares about my privacy, I urge you to create a 'Do Not Text' registry.
