Demand that Trump Send Troops to Mexico and Puerto Rico to Help the Relief Effort

Mexico has suffered two devastating earthquakes only 12 days apart. One was in Oaxaca, a 8.1 tremor, causing serious damage in Chiapas, and the most recent one, a 7.1 in Mexico City. Additionally, Puerto Rico has also been ravaged by Hurricanes Irma and Maria. The United States should take the lead and provide vehicles, supplies, food, and equipment to help rescue survivors immediately, as time is of the essences. The United States has the where-with-all and the means to do so. During World War II, Mexico provided troops to support the United States. During the aftermath of Hurricanes Katrina and Harvey Mexico sent their military over the border to help in the relief effort. In 2007, when the Harris/Border Fire raged out of control, Mexico sent their firefighters to help their American counterparts to stop the fires in San Diego County. Now it is our turn. It is time for the American people to practice charity, humanity, compassion, and empathy to our neighbors in need.
