Demand Infertility Insurance Mandates Washington State

Feminist groups petition, fight blood sweat and tears to get abortion paid for. "Its a woman's right to choose". "A woman shouldn't have to stress about carrying a child or paying for an abortion she can't afford".

Can someone explain to me why you fight so hard to KILL babies, but you don't fight to bring babies into this world? How would fertility treatments not be "a woman's right to choose"?

Can someone explain to me why we live in such a liberal state that claims to love and respect everyone equally, but yet our wonderful system doesn't even TRY to mandate for fertility treatments? There are only 15 States that mandate fertility coverage. Washington is not one of those.

We fought to force insurance companies to cover abortion, but a petition to force insurance companies to cover fertility treatments couldn't even reach 1000 signatures.

People would rather fight to kill and prevent babies than fight to bring them into this world. I don't like or agree with the society we live in today.

Washington State just passed a Bill SB 6219, Concerning health plan coverage of reproductive health care. This bill covers the choice NOT to reproduce but does not cover the choice TO reproduce. One is a "right" the other is an "elective procedure"...

Some reading to educate those of you who think abortion is more important than infertility.

Also, in the essence of being fair and equal... Abortion technically is just a woman needing the treatment. Infertility can and DOES affect both men and women.

I hate how women in this State fight for equality of certain things, yet ignore other things... I am proud not to stand with many of today's feminists. You just don't "get" what matters to many of us who actually enjoy equality.

Also, in fairness. Every state has public funding at some level for abortion. But not infertility... I don't think public funding for infertility is necessary, but mandates for insurance companies to provide coverage at some level is. https://www.guttmacher.org/state-policy/explore/overview-abortion-laws
