Taking away young elephants from their mothers so they can be slaves of the tourism industry is deplorable. Elephants are living beings that feel deep emotions such as pain, sorrow, sadness, and could even feel happiness if left to their natural habitat.
The rigourous training these poor elephants must undergo to be part of the tourism industry is wicked. They are pelted with bullhooks and electric prods, starved, sleep deprived, and ritualistically abused so they conform to humans. Their health and well-being is not cared for, instead, these elephants are overworked and emotionally scarred. That's just the tip of the iceburg.
These majestic creatures DO NOT deserve to be treated this way, nor should any human or government exert the right to use and enslave these beautiful animals. They NEED us to speak up for them and help free them from their life of horror.
