The government and censorship of China, Russia and other states has cancelled parts of the internet and controls security mechanisms as well as introducing alternatives under their direct control. China and Russia have been in partnership for quite some time and pushed to block the use of the internet during Arab spring protest as well as long before the Iranian election protest that proceeded the Arab spring protest.
The citizens are unable to communicate with the rest of society and they can't be informed by other countries. The citizens of China and Russia don't have any rights to privacy.
