Examine Trump's Tax Return

The voting citizens should be allowed to compare the Candidates for the office of President of the USA on a level playing field. I am an informed voting citizen and would like to avail myself of all possible information I deem crucial in selecting the most suitable and qualified candidate for the job of President of these United States.

We as voting citizens request that President Barack H. Obama of the United States of America acquire the most recent Form 1040 Tax Return of the GOP Nominee, Donald J. Trump from the IRS. And depending upon the best path discussed below, share this tax data with the general public as the Democratic Nominee has already done.

The President is granted this power under Section 6103g of the Internal Revenue Code.

A large portion of the voting citizens is greatly concerned that they are unable to make viable comparisons in a transparent manner between the two leading contenders in this election. The concern is forthright in many minds that Mr. Trump will have an overriding inability to make critical decisions in the best interest of the USA because of his probable conflicting personal business interest.

Much has been said and we would like to examine where Mr. Trump owes money or favors and to what nations he may have an allegiance that may affect his ability to fairly and impartially govern these United States. We would like to know his Partners and connections to individuals inside and outside of this Country. Specifically we’d like exposed the nature and location of his business relationships overseas. We are curious as to the amounts and recipients of his charitable contributions.

Further considerations:

If there would be a problem with making this Tax Return available to the public, perhaps a review and written report (released to the public) by a qualified group would suffice. That Group could make clarifying comments and notes that the average citizen may not be able to understand by reviewing raw data from the Tax Return. If the Tax Return is “under audit” then that fact should be discussed in the Report. Mr. Trump should be allowed several days to make his own comments or arguments about any of the line items covered in the Public Report (released at the same time as the Report). Of course, a limit on the time and word count should be set to avoid a lengthy rebuttal from Mr. Trump in order to meet deadlines for public assessment and discussion prior to the election date. Mr. Trump still has the freedom to make additional comments he may release on his own or even refuse to make any comments released at the same time as the Report. If he refuses; that action should be noted within the Report.

In all fairness, Mr. Trump should be notified once the decision has been made by the President to request Mr. Trump’s Tax Return(s); that, (1) those Tax Returns will be requested, and (2) once received, they will be made Public or submitted for analysis and release of a Report to the Public. Mr. Trump will have five (5) days from that time of notification (from the President) to release his Tax Returns on his own to the Public or the President will proceed with the requests made under this Partition. If Mr. Trump has let the expiration of this deadline pass; then the President should proceed with the requests of this Partition, even if Mr. Trump has since released his Tax Returns. It is believed that a Report to the Public discussing various issues in Mr. Trump’s Tax Return(s) would be beneficial to a large majority of voting citizens.

Update #17 years ago
We have a fairly diverse representation of the States for this to be in the beginning stages...but we sorely need more shares and Signers. Please do what you can to share and spread the word. If anyone is concerned about their name showing...let them know that a box below the Sign Now green button allows them to Sign and be counted without showing their name. You can go to the Petition site, scroll down and see who signed and their location.
