Pass H. R. 676, or "Medicare for All"

Announce your unequivocal support for H. R. 676, or the "Medicare for All" bill, currently in the U. S. House of Representatives, with 104 cosponsors and counting.
The American people want and need universal healthcare, and this can only become a reality if the entire United States Congress and the President can voice their support for H. R. 676, which, if passed by Congress and signed by the President, would expand our current Medicare system to cover all Americans. The United States can no longer afford to be the only developed and industrialized nation in the world which does not grant healthcare to its people as a right and not as a privilege.

As frontline workers across the spectrum of care delivery, we write to demand a federal universal health care option. We have seen too many patients die and harmed due to delays in care, suboptimal treatment plans dictated by insurance coverage, critical cost-related medication underuse, and other unnecessary and egregious cost dictated scenarios. We hear too many stories of our patients thrust into financial ruin because of medical debt. The US has the highest cost of care with the poorest outcomes when compared to our international colleagues. We are diagnosticians. We are trained to assess problems and create treatment plans. The problem is the lack of a universal federal insurance option to stabilize care and outcomes. The solution is legislation to craft a national insurance option and the ethics to ensure it becomes law. We cannot stand by any longer. We care for our patients. We know universal healthcare is the right thing to do for their health. We urge you to make it so. Clinically and ethically, it is the right thing to do for our patients.
