Support Black Lives of UU in their efforts to provide information, resources and support for Black Unitarian Universalists and to expand the role & visibility of Black UUs within our faith.

Dear UUA Interim Co-Presidents and Board members:

Thank you for your service to our denomination.

We at the UU Church of Silver Spring MD (UUCSS) support the Board’s action of pledging more than $5 million to the Black Lives of UU Collective. We hope the Board will stand fast in this decision, particularly now as issues of racial justice and privilege within our denomination have come out in the open. These discussions will be hard and painful at times, but also contain the possibility of greater spiritual connection and understanding across difference.
