What kind of human being would abandon their dog to die this way?!

"A woman from Herndon is facing multiple charges following a police pursuit that reached speeds of up to 100 miles per hour on Interstate 66 last week.
"According to the Virginia State Police, 39-year-old Jennifer L. Arnn was arrested on Aug. 6.
"Police say she is facing three felony counts of assault on law enforcement, one felony count of intentional damage, one felony count of eluding law enforcement, one felony count of animal cruelty, one misdemeanor count of driving under the influence, and one misdemeanor count of possession of marijuana. ...
"Police say, during the chase, Arnn pushed her dog out of the window. Troopers were able to find the animal, but it did not survive the injuries it sustained," reported CBS.
Imagine how much that poor dog suffered...
And the animal's death was so needless.
Cruelty like this cannot be condoned in any way.
Senator Bernie Sanders has been a long-term advocate for animal rights, and has co-sponsored numerous pieces of legislation to protect endangered species, as well as to combat animal cruelty.
That's why we're asking him to lead a movement in Congress that would impose strict, nationwide punishments on people who deliberately harm animals.
