Thanks to all the support the campaign has received, it now seems likely this football academy will be built elsewhere. However the land is still under threat. The agricultural land was sold, and there is still a risk of it being sold for alternative development purposes.

Thanks to all your support, it seems this development may now be built elsewhere. We are extremely happy with the progress we have made and the impact that your input has had, so thank you so much.
However, we cannot be complacent. The land is by no means safe and could still be developed for an alternative purpose. Please keep the pressure up, to preserve this land as beautiful open countryside.

We have over 1100 signatures on our petition fighting the destruction of the fields at Cosgrove by commercial developers. IF EACH PERSON WHO HAS SIGNED CAN GET FOUR FRIENDS TO SIGN, WE WILL EXCEED OUR CURRENT TARGET OF 5000. 4 MORE SIGNATURES PER PERSON - one for each field under threat.
