Rather than learn about animal abuse, people will often bury their head in the sand, saying "I don't want to know". Sadly, this inaction actually helps animal abusers continue their cruelty unhindered.
Every second, there are a huge number of animals suffering pain worse than you or I could ever imagine, at the hands of humans throughout the world.Even though animals obviously feel fear and pain, just like humans, sentences for animal abuse do not reflect that. In a lot of instances, horrific animal cruelty is perfectly legal, and even encouraged in some countries!
Fur farming (skinned alive), dog hunting, animal experimentation, cat and dog meat trade in Asia (they are boiled alive to be served as food), slaughter houses, greyhound abuse, worldwide festivals including animal torture and death, horrible breeding conditions in puppy mills, pet abandonment, ivory trade... So many examples of daily torture... This must STOP!
