A proposed land clearance is posing a large threat to koalas as much of the land is vital habitat for the Australian marsupial. If the proposal is allowed then a huge area of up to 8 million hectares could be cleared away. Of this, around 2.2 million hectares will be destroyed koala habitat which is equivalent to around 38% of the states woodland and 10% of their habitats in NSW.
The loss of habitat could cause catastrophic effects for the koala populations which are already facing issues in the harsh Australian outback. WWF has commissioned a report estimating the amount of damage that could be caused because the government has failed to provide the correct changes and denied all freedom and information requests. The government is expected to decide on the conservation bill later in the month and that will be passed to parliament where it will be voted in or out. This will then replace the current native vegetation and threatened species acts. We must prevent this law being passed or many animals, including koalas and other native species will lose their homes and possibly their lives. Not only this but it could also effect the people and farmers living there as they may lose their land in the bill is allowed.

I'm sorry to say that despite all of our great effort the measure has been passed an the land clearance will proceed. Sorry for the disappointment but we must still try to help save the threatened animals whenever and however we can, thanks again and continue to save wildlife!

it's not looking good for us at the moment as the Proposal is scheduled to be finalized soon. Although it could have a harmful effect on global w\arming and wipe out many thousands of animals and ecosystems they are determined to carry on this this unforgivable agreement, as some seem to think it will be a good thing! Lets just hope we can change their mind or others can before it is too late.

The land clearance in Australia's threatening koala and wildlife homes is approaching soon as the decision could be decided this week. Sadly the defense to prevent the clearance seems to be losing so they need all the support they can get before the wrong decision is definite. Make any last efforts to prevent it from happening by getting friends, family and any people to sign petitions and raise awareness for our cause.
