In this region of Romania, the villagers of FIERBINTI - Ialomita County - there is a farm where, one of the most rich Romanian businessmen : Dorin Cristian Dr%u0103goi (- the owner of " Standard Nutricia ") raises horses, the villagers have alerted the Police about the horrible condition of these animals...when investigators came, they found the horses STARVED TO DEATH...not even water...many of them had to be PTS, some of them where already dead ( at least 6 )...pure breed horses...All local and national authorities have started ( thanks God ) a thorough investigation BUT, apparently Mr.Dragoi's lawyers have started threatening the investigators.
We would like to support the action of the police and ask that all responsible for cruelty and crimes against animals be prosecuted at the full extend of the law...and given the harshest sentences....JAIL.
No more, Romanians and everybody, can no longer tolerate crimes against animals to go unpunished...a fine will not do JUSTICE...
We sincerely believe that Romania doesn't take seriously enough the international commitments she has made when joining the EU.
It is the duty of the Romanian authorities to prosecute at the full extend of the LAW those responsible and to ask for nothing less that jail time....it is completely unacceptable to only fine those individuals.
The time has come for Romania to start changing her attitude towards the treatment of animals and to fully implement, at national level the LAW.
We salute the initiative of The Romanian Police for the Animals and we expect nothing less than complete JUSTICE for those poor animals....and only a prison sentence will do them justice.
Please do not let anybody interfere with the legal process...the international opinion stands by the rights of animals and with all those who do the right thing.
Thank you very much
