PETITION: CNN needs to shut down Piers Morgan. Boycott him!!!!

This is America. Our very first amendment is Freedom of Speech. A great constitutional right. The grey area is when you're confused, as Piers Morgan is, and think this means it's okay to be abusive and call people names for exercising this same right. Here is something he needs to understand. Freedom of speech means the truth is an absolute defense. It means if it is true, it is okay to say it, even if it doesn't sound pretty. However, being abusive is not okay. And if he remains on the air, then CNN concurs with this opinion. 

It's okay that Piers Morgan is anti-gun. That's his right. It's okay and even fantastic that he is so passionate on behalf of the Sandy Hook children and teachers that lost their lives. Even though I strongly disagree with him about the solution to this problem of active shooters in America (I am very pro gun), I still have respected his freedom of speech and watched his show on CNN. 

That all changed when I heard Piers Morgan interviewing Larry Pratt. MR Pratt explained that these active shooter massacres happen in areas where guns are banned. At this point, MR Piers Morgan of the UK blatantly stated, "you are an incredibly stupid man" to MR Pratt, just because he disagreed with him. 

I listened in shock. Since then, if Piers Morgan is on TV, I change the channel. I find him completely rude and offensive. This country is in mourning right now. From the onset of the Sandy Hook shooting, Piers Morgan has been insensitive to anyone that doesn't agree with him. The very next day after the shooting, he was on his anti-gun bandwagon. In the past week I've listened to him yell at people multiple times. Rudely interupt and tell them "no, he isn't going to listen." He even told one guest on his show that he needed to change how he thought. He only shows respect to those guest that agree with him. 

I do not typically blog or post public comments. Piers Morgan has crossed a line though. He needs to go. Maybe he thinks because he is not an American (?) [he says he lives here, not that he is American. He's been living and working here for 7 years], that he shouldn't have to follow any form of common courtesy. He has demonstrated for five days that he is completely unprofessional. He does not belong in the world of journalism. He needs to take lessons from Anderson Cooper and Soledad O'Brian on how to conduct himself as a professional.

His behavior toward Americans & people is not acceptable.  Please tell Piers Morgan and CNN that we will not tolerate this by siging this petition.
