Because of Extensive Governmental Corruption and Bad / Ineffective Governance Across Africa, Wildlife is being slaughtered at an unprecedented rate causing many species to go extinct and others to be driven to near extinction.

International Criminal Syndicates fund and operate illegal networks across Africa to poach and traffic ivory, rhino horn and other wildlife parts to exit points out of Africa. Not only do corrupt governmental officials benefit from the illegal ivory and rhino horn trade, they also work with terrorists groups and criminal networks involved in drug and sex trafficking, all combined now rate as the 5th largest criminal operation in the world estimated at US $7-10 billion per year.

Additionally, the Trophy Hunting Industry is driving the lion, giraffe and other wildlife populations to collapse across Africa. And with climate change, deforestation by logging companies and other developers and human population growth, the wildlife of Africa could disappear in the next decade if measures are not taken now to stop this unfolding crisis and massive destruction of natural resources.

This catastrophe would undermine the heritage and very identity of the entire continent of Africa.

Greed and corruption by African government officials, Asia's demand for ivory and rhino horn make the challenge of saving Africa's wildlife daunting but must be overcome immediately or this battle will be lost.
