STOP the deforestation of Cerrado!

The Cerrado is a large green area in the Midwest of Brazil, covering a quarter of the territory. This place is 30% of Brazilian biodiversity. If Cerrado ends, the link between other Brazilian ecosystems will be broken and it will NOT be good. It's also considered "cradle of the brazilian waters", vital to water preservation in Brazil. All this water there makes it important for human benefit, for the supply of food and water and power generation. But Cerrado is almost completely dead, with half its original vegetation eliminated, and less than 3% of the remaining area is effectively protected. The deforestation of the Cerrado is mainly caused by the expansion of agricultural activities and farming. Without Cerrado, the lives of many Brazilians will become very difficult. O Cerrado é uma grande área de vegetação no Centro-Oeste do Brazil, cobrindo um quarto do território. Esse lugar é 30% da biodiversidade brasileira. Se o Cerrado acabar, o elo entre os demais ecossistemas brasileiros será quebrado, e não vai ser NADA bom. Além disso, ele é considerado "berço das águas" brasileiras, sendo vital para a preservação da água no Brasil. Toda a água presente lá faz ele ser importante para o benefício humano, tanto para fornecimento de alimentos e água e geração de energia. Mas o Cerrado está quase completamente morto, com metade de sua vegetação original eliminada, e menos de 3% do restante da área está efetivamente protegida. O desmatamento do Cerrado é principalmente causado pela expansão das atividades agrícolas e pela agropecuária. Sem o Cerrado, a vida de muitos brasileiros se tornará muito difícil.
