US HR 1227 We want the prohibition of Marijuana to end!

I live in North Carolina, a state moving slowly towards medical and even slower when it comes to recreational! If majority means anything, then I know the majority of us can make a difference to end this prohibition not just in my state, but for the remaining parts of the country where people are still criminally charged or issued money consuming citations for choosing to smoke! Ending this prohibition could generate revenue for each state and would help the opiate epidemic that is across our country! Many people struggling with chronic medical problems could use this medicine, my aunt has M.S for example and while her doctor couldn't prescribe it or offer it, he has suggested it and it helps her pain and nerves! Depression, pain, anxiety, anorexia, cancer patients(we all have lost a loved one!) and many more medical conditions can be helped.
This petition is to spread awareness! US HR has been sent to the minor committee in the Judicary house and has been there since March! Let's say we are tired of waiting and demand that majority ruling of the people should matter, and we want legalization now. They were elected to represent us!
