Kentucky: No Parental Rights for Rapists!

On a recent episode of "The Daily Show," Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz shared some troubling news with correspondent Samantha Bee: "Right now, a woman doesn't have the right -- across America -- to terminate her rapist's parental rights."

Only 27 states currently allow termination of parental rights or restriction of custody for rapists. Of the remaining states, five stand out as particularly lacking in protections for mothers whose children were born as a result of sexual assault. Kentucky is one of those five.

Rape survivors should not have to deal with the financial and emotional stress of fighting their rapists for custody or visitation rights. Please sign the petition to urge Kentucky to pass legislation to restrict parental rights for rapists!

We, the undersigned, are concerned about Kentucky's lack of legislation preventing rapists from seeking parental rights.
