Japan has the record of killing more whales , than any other country today ; sadly so.
That they on top of that also use the term - scientific research - as an excuse is even worse. Today there are many other ways to find out any information needed about the sea life. The oceans of the world is already in a dire state. And this is certainly not helping any of that. Help to keep up the pressure of the Japanese Government. Tell them to better their ways.

In this - the 21.th century - the world have come a long way. Mankind no longer need to scavenge for food like an animal. We are moving beyond the borders of our previous understandings. Both below the sea and beyond our eye sight into the sky. Surely then , it can not be , that in the name of research and science , the very thing , that have brought us all here this far , is being used as an excuse for , what is clearly just a way to keep alive old traditions.
In an effort to maintain a sense of prestige and nostalgia of that , which made Japan an empire in the days before. When it still todayhave a lot to be both pr oud of and to respected for.
Something that in other parts of the world are a scarcity.
Why then the need for engulfing the discontent of the world ?
