Prevent the extinction of the snow leopard

Snow leopards are on the verge of extinction.
Necessary to strengthen the protection of snow leopards in eastern Kazakhstan.
 At present the number of snow leopards disastrously low. Illegal, but financially attractive hunting for fur snow leopard has significantly reduced its population. In all countries in which the area is located, the snow leopard is protected by the state, but it poaching remains a threat. The snow leopard is a rare, small, endangered species. Listed in the IUCN Red List (2000) as "critically endangered" (the highest security category EN C2A). In the Red Book of Mongolia (1997) assigned the mind - "very rare" in the Red Book of the Russian Federation (2001) - "an endangered species at the limit of the range" (category 1). Also, the snow leopard is listed in Appendix I of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of fauna and flora in Endangered Species (CITES). It should be noted, however, that all of these environmental acts and documents only create a legal framework that is implemented in the field is weak, as evidenced by the increase in poaching and smuggling. At the same time, there are no programs for the long-term conservation of snow leopards.
