I heard that they announced that Rodan, Mothra, and King Ghidorah rights have been bought from Toho to use in the next Godzilla sequels, but IMO I think that a lot of people have gotten tired of Mothra (she's been in 8 of his films [AND has had 3 of her own films], but I don't remember him winning a single one of 'em except in GMK & Tokyo SOS [she needs to just get her freakin' butt kicked and die by Godzilla's hand!]) and King Ghidorah (and he's been in 7 films as well, and he constantly gets his butt handed to him by the King [to which I don't mind and I doubt anyone else does either]), Rodan however desreves to be introduced since he hasn't had as many appearances in Godzilla's films (not including his own original film).
They really need to bring in one of Toho's other Kaiju like Biollante, Mechagodzilla, & Destoroyah. And bringing in Biollante & Destoroyah into the new Godzilla era would definitely be good for both of these Kaiju. Primarily since Biollante is overlooked heavily since she isn't a completely Toho originally made Kaiju (as Toho held a writing contest to see who could write the best story for their next Godzilla movie), and Destoroyah has come the closest to killing Godzilla in the Heisei series (which is touted to be the most popular of the Godzilla era's) and neither of them have been seen since their initial film appearances not counting their appearances in comic books.
They would both be a part of the "Arrogance of Man" theme that the first one was focusing on and they both would fit real well as experiments that have gone horribly wrong inthe Heisei era with Biollante being created by gene splicing Godzilla's cells with that of a Rose plant, and Destoroyah was originally created from test that had been attempted to recreate the original Dr. Serizawa's work of the Oxygen Destroyer that killed the original Godzilla of the Showa era. How they could be introduced into future sequels is anyone's guess, but they would be more than a match for Godzilla.
Mechagodzilla is another Kaiju that should be introduced into the new era due to the fact that while many people are large fans of him, but many others simply cannot take him seriously and this would be a great opportunity for him to step in and be taken seriously especially with the release of Pacific Rim as of last year showing that giant robots can be total badasses and be seen in a more realistic & believable way, thus proving he to can be a challenge for the King of the Monsters just as much as Biollante & Destoroyah. How would he be introduced? More likely as a government weapon designed to take down Godzilla in the event he becomes a true threat to Humanity as well as the ability to combat and other future Kaiju like Rodan, Mothra, & King Ghidorah should they go the rout of including the latter three into Godzilla 2.
