Demand Women Keep Their Reproductive Rights and Right to Choose!

Only days after the Women's March in Washington D.C., which protested the mistreatment of women by the Trump Administration, the House passed H.R.-7: No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion and Abortion Insurance Full Disclosure Act of 2017. With the House passing this radical abortion funding ban, it's potential of becoming a law increased dramatically, for if it passes the Senate, Trump will most likely sign the bill into permanent law.

If this bill becomes law it would deny millions of women the ability to get heath insurance coverage for abortion by banning women from obtaining any federal assistance for abortion, whether insured through public programs such as Medicaid or private health insurance on the Affordable Care Act exchanges. The result would would be harsher restrictions for low income women, young women and minority women to have an abortion, making it virtually unaffordable to these groups.

If this anti choice bill becomes a law many women will not be able to afford the cost of abortion and in turn be denied their right to choose. The result will be an upsurge of women unable to afford prenatal care, hospital bills, or 18 years of caring for a child, in turn costing the nation more financially than an abortion and increased dependence on public assistance to care for the child. The intensification of children suffering with lack of care, and the parent's struggling to care for the child would be likely. If this law passes the Senate the likely result would be women forced to seek unsafe abortions elsewhere, resulting in dire consequences.

We need to unite together, demanding our voices be heard by our Congressional Representatives that limiting a women's right to choose and right to equal healthcare access is unacceptable and are blatant human rights violations.
Sign this petition now and let Congress know that Bill H.R. 7 is a violation of a women's right to choose and a violation of equal access to healthcare coverage, both impudent human rights violations of women's healthcare rights and women's sexual and reproductive rights and a violation of basic gender equality.
