Reduce Medicare eligibility for disabled persons receiving SSD benefits needing an organ transplants

Disabled people receiving Social Security Benefits (SSD) must wait two years to received Medicare benefits. Medicare Public Law 106-5J-1, amended July 1, 2001 and Public Law 92-603 amended October, 1972 allows for early eligibility for Medicare if a transplant is needed due to End Stage Renal disease or Lou Gehrig's (ALS) disease. This law should be amended to reflect any disease for early Medicare approval.
