RELEASE the Do It Yourself intrauterine device, the DIY - IUD!
Birth control is expensive and has some harmful and difficult side effects. IUD's are not comparativly and used in much of the world where available. They are the most effective, the longest lasting (years) and have the least side effects. Americans aren't offered them often and are unaware of there ease and lower cost. There has been a self administering IUD invented and it has been used in India successfully. This is life changing for women and children especially those in poverty and with limited access to medical services.
I was an IUD user. I had it in for almost five years and it kept me from excessive bleeding and the bothersome side effects of menopause. One of it's other benefits most women aren't aware of.
We hope to see this birth control method made available to all who would chose to have it. Especially the poor with limited access to medical services in the United States and the World. We would like to create a service that not only promotes advertisement, media and education on IUD's, but also makes them available free of charge to many. Selling to those who can afford them while raising enough funds with the profits to offer them to many others who can't. We plan to distribute them world wide via any means necessary including education on them, inserting and managing them.
