Give Ware County Students their Privacy Back!

The Ware County School System made a new rule where all students, grades prek-12, are required to have a clear or mesh bookbag. They are saying it’s because of “safety issues” but I feel that it’s only going to be causing more problems. For example, female students will only be required to have a small, not clear, pouch to put their sanitary products in. I find this to be unfair and unnecessary. Also, the schools require students to have so many books and i strongly believe that a small mesh bookbag won’t be able to hold that weight for an entire school year. They do give us the option to have a locker, but with only 5 minutes between bells, there just isn’t enough time to switch books and be to class on time. Also, with younger kids it would not be hard for them to get confused and grab the wrong bookbag. It also deprives them of being able to pick out a bookbag with their favorite character, tv show, singer, etc. on it
