Our school usually has a break, about 1ns a year, where the school goes to a theme park for the day. The payment for this is about £25. This includes the fuel money ect.
This year, our school has stopped a number of advents like Arts week, Half days and Christmas. The number of our days has been increased but that's okay. Until the closed the theme park trip. The trip is for specifically chosen people, who have high achievement points and deserve a day off. As soon as this was announced, we got letters to inform us that there would be a completely new school uniform, that costs around £130. Now, i'm not sure if this is a co-incidence, but many people say that this is why we are not allowed our day off. Because they want more money ( Our current school uniform is fine !!! )
The school says that the trip is not academic enough. Yet, that's the very last day of the year, and we wont be doing anything anyway? Many people and TEACHERS have told us to make a petition about it. We were planning to do so much on this trip, after a long school year.
So, Do you think the hard working students deserve this one day off ?
