Demand Equality & Justice to Dress Code Now

Firstly, the rules do not apply equally to all students; earrings for girls but not for boys? That is sexism, and is not the only rule creating gender division. All students should be able to wear tank tops with any width of straps, male and females both have arms, chest, and shoulders. Saying it is inappropriate to show parts of our body is as telling a bird to fly without flapping its wings. We do not choose which body we are born into and all people have one. Inforcing the idea we should be covered up is injust and inhumane. All people have the freedom to dress as they please; no one but our self decides what we should put on our bodies.
This is a world issue, not only effecting highschool students or the ones of Kingwood High School. "Census Bureau estimates, there were 41,844,000 youth age 10-19 in the United States, 14% of the total U.S. population, in 2012" Teens make up 14% (plus) of our population, merely in America. This petition stands up for every single person who has ever felt that freedom was taken from us or bantered with due to regaurds of dress code.
Furthermore, the clothes on our skin or color of our hair or amount of piercings we have has no direct corrolation to the ability to pay attention or apply ourselves in the classroom. Specifically, a nose ring is no more distracting than a mole or pimple. Indiviuality is crucial because there is only one of each person. That one single existance of the person deserves zero limits to expression.
Bring an end to inequality, and together, we will begin the chance be treated with respect.
